With growth comes change. And while our dedication to work with value-driven family farms and production of high quality dairy projects will never change, we’re excited to talk about one of our newest additions to the Homestead Creamery Cream Team: company President Kasey Kohl.

Get to Know Kasey

Kasey Kohl joined the Homestead Creamery Cream Team as president last year, taking over for long time leaders Donnie Montgomery and Mike Grisetti. While the two have still maintained a large presence at the creamery, Kohl oversees the day-to-day work with a focus on managing the strategic growth of the company.

A native of Montgomery County, Kohl has been around the agricultural industry his whole life with experience in dairy farming. He leverages this expertise and affinity for building relationships to support us in our mission to provide quality, great tasting products to our customers.

We chatted with Kohl at our Farm Market in Wirtz, Virginia, to learn a little bit more about him and his outlook for Homestead Creamery:

What’s on the Horizon

When Homestead Creamery opened its doors in 2001, there were two partner farms who banded together to deliver fresh milk to local customers. Fast forward 18 years, and we’re now working with four cornerstone partner farms to produce milk, ice cream, and butter for customers all along the East Coast through home delivery, restaurant and dining facility partners, and grocery stores.

In recent years, we have made a major investment to triple the size of our creamery facilities to accommodate demand. With additional room for equipment and product storage, we’re able to continue to find new partners and opportunities for growth.

Despite all of these changes, we continue to strive to live up to our core values and maintain the highest quality products. Some faces may change along the way, but we’ll always remain true to milk the way milk should taste.
