Each year, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) hosts the annual VA Food & Beverage Expo in Richmond, VA. This event is designed to showcase “Virginia’s Finest” in the food and beverage industry. It gives companies like Homestead Creamery a chance to not only network with fellow innovative food and beverage producers, but to gain access to buyers that represent grocery stores, restaurants, and distributors directly.
Homestead Creamery Wins Best New Beverage
In addition to the networking opportunity, companies are given the opportunity to showcase their new products. In our case, we chose to introduce one of the latest milk products we’ve developed: Golden Milk. This flavorful, nutritious drink combines the creamy base of our famous milk with the rich spices of tumeric and ginger.
We were excited to present this innovative new take on milk to our peers at the VA Food & Beverage Expo as an entry to the “Best New Beverage” contest. We were even more excited to receive the award! While only a few of us were able to attend, we’ll be bringing this award back to celebrate with the Cream Team and the family farmers that make it all happen!
What is Golden Milk?
Golden Milk is a flavorful drink that has been praised for it’s anti-inflammatory properties in natural medicine for ages. With the main additive being tumeric, an all natural spice derived from India that has been known to provide nutritional support against a variety of ailments. It is known to be anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant. It has been used to treat symptoms and provide preventative defense for illnesses like heart disease, cancer, arthritis, and boosts brain functioning.
“The flavor is like eggnog crossed with a pumpkin spice latte, but good for you!” said one of our early taste testers.
Where Can I Find It?
As a new product, we intend to have a gradual roll out to ensure that each and every bottle meets our standards of quality. Starting May 1st, Golden Milk will be available through our Home Delivery service and Farm Market store. Follow us closely for more announcements on options to purchase near you!
