Partnership Profile: Kroger

In the food and beverage industry, there are some partnerships that will cement your presence in the lives of your customers and help you grow your base far and wide. For Homestead Creamery, that partner has been Kroger Co. As our longest standing grocery partner, Kroger has helped us sell our milk, ice cream, and butter to our customers across the Mid-Atlantic and into the south.

Feeding The Human Spirit With Dairy

Kroger Co. has one purpose – “To Feed the Human Spirit”. As one of the largest retailers in the world today, Kroger had humble beginnings in Cincinnati, Ohio when Barney Kroger opened up his first store with his life savings of $372 way back in 1883. He ran his business with a simple motto in mind: “Be particular. Never sell anything you would not want yourself.” Today, that motto has evolved to the belief in one simple truth: “that our world is hungry for uplift. It’s a universal need, as powerful as our need for food or fuel.”

We like to think that Barney would have loved Homestead Creamery dairy products and we’re glad the dairy managers at 218 of their stores across West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama do too!

Why Kroger?

Beyond the staying power of delivering our products to Kroger shelves, we believe in the values they hold dear: honesty, integrity, respect, diversity, safety, and inclusion. These are the basis for the high standards that we believe causes the “cream to rise to the top”. We want our customers to have a positive experience with our products no matter which shelves they pick them up from. Kroger Co. has never strayed from delivering that high-quality experience with a smile.

Did we mention that the dairy coolers moo at you when you walk by?

Find Homestead on the Shelves

If you find that we’re sold out or not in the Kroger nearest to you, be sure to let your dairy manager know so they can order some!
