In the growing region of Southwest Virginia, it’s easy to pick out some of the long-standing landmark businesses in your mind. Those businesses have withstood the test of time and seem to have the ability to relate across generations with their products and personality. Macado’s is most certainly one of those businesses.
The History of Macado’s
The first Macado’s restaurant opened in 1978 in Downtown Roanoke, Virginia; a Roanoke landmark, through and through. The restaurant is well known for it’s eclectic decor, showcasing nostalgic memorabilia from all corners of American Culture. It’s also well known for their wide range of specialty sandwiches and other delicious pub foods.
As a great success over the past 40 years, the restaurant has grown into a regional chain with 21 locations across the Mid-Atlantic in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia! With a menu as long as their history, this family-friendly restaurant is sure to stick around for years to come.
Macado’s and Homestead Today
We are happy to announce our partnership with Macado’s restaurants and look forward to growing our footprint in their restaurants! Our original partnership started a little under a year ago with a handful of locations closest to our Creamery, but by the end of the year, we will be in all 21 locations!
If you’re a fan of dipping your wings in Macado’s Signature Buttermilk Ranch, you’re vicariously a fan of Homestead Creamery Buttermilk! You’ll also get to enjoy an ice cold glass of lemonade with your burger, or splurge on dessert with us! We suggest their Madison Mud Pie – made with Homestead Creamery chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream or getting a scoop to go!
“We’re excited to offer Homestead Creamery to our customers, and create a little ice cream parlor inside each of our locations,” says Marketing Director, Matt Pendleton.
