Homestead Creamery Celebrates 20 Years of The Way Milk Should Taste™

Homestead Creamery is kicking off its 20th Anniversary by asking customers to be creative.

On January 17, 2001, dairy farmers and co-founders Dave Bower and Donnie Montgomery bottled the first crate of milk under the Homestead Creamery label. As the company begins celebrating 20 years of The Way Milk Should Taste™, they invite customers to enter a t-shirt design contest. Celebrations will continue throughout the year, involving the community and the Creamery’s Farm Market and Home Delivery service.

“Since day one, our customers have been and continue to be our largest success and support. ” says Kasey Kohl, President of Homestead Creamery. “We look forward to incorporating customer participation in our anniversary year and seeing the designs our loyal fans create!

Homestead Creamery has a history of making the highest quality dairy products with the customers in mind. From the beginning the farmers wanted to share with others the great taste of farm fresh milk while finding a way to preserve their family farms for future generations. Homestead Creamery began its unique process- bottling minimally pasteurized, fresh from the farm milk in glass bottles.

Donnie Montgomery said, “Our vision from the beginning was to make an extra effort to keep our farms neat, tidy and well maintained with healthy, happy cows so we could produce the highest quality and best tasting milk. The milk is minimally pasteurized right away and packaged in recyclable glass bottles that signify higher quality and freshness to offer our customers milk that is truly the way milk should taste.”  Homestead Creamery products can now be found in 23 states, making it one of the most widely distributed glass bottle milks on the market.

From the first two dairy farms to an expanding network of local, small family-owned farms, the Creamery continues to grow and look forward to the future. “Stay tuned as we have a lot of exciting events and news to announce this year that we know will be fun for our customers.” says Kohl.

Customers can find more details about the t-shirt design contest on the Homestead Creamery website, 20 Years of The Way Milk Should Taste™ T-shirt Design Contest . Details about future celebrations will also be posted on the website.
